Debbi Norwood
I started managing Explorers Pre-school in January 2024, I have both a level 3 qualification in Early Years Care and Education and a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management. I have additional qualifications relating to leading a team and working with families. I am a qualified Assessor and IQA within Further Education and have done this role in both the Early Years Sector and Health and Social Care Sector, supporting learners to gain their qualifications within their field. I have all mandatory training completed and I like to attend additional training to keep up to date.
I have previous experience of working with all ages and enjoy the under 5’s the most. I have managed both Pre-schools and a Nursery and have 3 children of my own, which I adore. I enjoy spending time with them and with family and friends.
I love being at Explorers and knowing I am part of shaping these children’s lives brings me great satisfaction and joy. It is a pleasure to be part of a lovely Pre-school and am proud of the positive changes we have made since the New Year and am passionate about developing our environments both indoors and out and to make this a successful and enabling environment for our community.

Cora Northover
My name is Cora and I am a Level 3 practitioner. I started my journey into Early Years in 2019 by completing the Level 3 Early Years Education Diploma and I have continued to work in Pre-Schools. I joined Explorer’s Pre-School in September 2024 and I am really enjoying working here and getting to know all the children and families.
I have completed a range of training, since I joined Explorers, including Safeguarding, Prevent training, FGM, First Aid and Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety.
I am a keyworker and I am really enjoying this part of the role and I have taken on the lead for our toothbrushing scheme.
My interests are keeping healthy and fitness and I like being able to share this passion with the children.

Anyka Ivey
Hello, my name is Anyka and I’m Level 2 qualified in childcare. I also have my First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications. I enjoy working with children at Explorers pre-school and helping them progress through play. Every child is unique and I love coming up with ideas to help them reach their stages by creating fun activities which is really rewarding for me.
In my spare time I enjoy fitness and art, especially drawing and pet portraits.
